PVG’s College of Engineering & Technology, Pune:

PVG’s COET, established in 1985 is one of the leading educational institutions in Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute has 6 UG courses, 2 PG courses and Ph.D. programmes in 4 disciplines.  PVG’s COET, Pune is permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. PVG’s COET has received “A” grade in NAAC second cycle along with accreditations from reputed industries. PVG’s COET, Pune is the first Regional Nodal Centre of Virtual Labs, a MHRD Project under IITB and received recognition as a Shining Nodal Center at national level. PVG’s COET, Pune has well established research laboratories developed in association with industries like Dassault Systems, Texas Instruments etc. It is honored with Engineering Education Excellence Award by Indo Global Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture.

 

Department of Printing Engineering

 

The Department of Printing Engineering of the PVG’s COET is one of the vibrant departments. It has a well-qualified faculty with varied teaching and industrial experience. Many of them have published technical papers in renowned national and international journals. One of the faculty members has completed Ph.D. qualification, 2 others are pursuing and all other faculty members are with PG qualification. The department is well equipped with fully developed laboratories with equipment for the following subjects: PrePress Workflow Lab, Color Imaging Lab, Offset Machines Lab, Gravure and Flexo Lab, Ink and Material Testing Lab and E-Library.

The department conducts the Bachelor’s degree course, post-graduate degree course and Ph.D. in Printing Engineering. Efforts are made by the department to acquaint the students with the latest development in the field of Printing Engineering by: Arranging field visits to industries, arranging lectures by eminent persons from industries and R&D organizations. Taking up projects in collaboration with the industries.
